Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams

Howtoons has collaborated with Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams to help join in the initiative to encourage and inspire the new inventors of tomorrow.  Our first project is a visual communication guide that was developed to help get your big ideas out of your head and down on paper.

The InvenTeam initiative, created by the Lemelson-MIT Program, offers an unparalleled opportunity for high school students to cultivate their creativity and experience invention.

InvenTeams are teams of high school students, teachers, and mentors that invent technological solutions to real-world problems.

Below are a couple of examples of some of the exciting inventions coming out of the InvenTeam initiative.   The videos were produced by Twin Cities Public Television for Make: television.

Garfield-Palouse High School InvenTeam (Palouse, Washington)

Invention: Agricultural lift for people with physical disabilities

Teen Technology InvenTeam (Bridgewater, New Jersey)

Invention: Pedal operated sorghum and millet thresher
